The Cuban Industrial Information Network
(RIIC, according to its Spanish initials) is a project of the Government
of Cuba coordinated by DISAIC
Consulting House, with the collaboration of UNIDO, based
in state-of-the-art technologies, where all Cuban industrial entities
can participate, being in such case its information
providers and beneficiaries of
its services. |
|
|
|
Firstly, the access of Cuban enterprises and
institutions to the information they need in order to be competitive will be
remarkably increased, and on the other hand, contact and business
possibilities with domestic and foreign enterprises will be
enlarged, as the Industrial Information Network
will also serve as a promotional mean of Cuban products and services abroad. |
|
|
|
The project pursues the achievement of the following
objectives:
|
|
|
-
To act as an information and added value
services provider for a large number of industrial sectors, easing the
linking of ministries and institutions that design the policies in
different industrial sectors of the country, as well as a number of
other outstanding activities, such as R+D institutes, energy and
environment, quality, standardization and metrology, etc.;
-
To establish a business opportunities
window for international community and, in such context, to generate and
provide access to information leading to partnership opportunities on
investment and technology;
-
To provide Cuba with a capacity to
substantially improve its access to world information networks.
