The Investments Promotion Center was founded in 1994 so as to promote the existing opportunities of foreign investment with participation of foreign capital in the Cuban economy; and to promote the investment of Cuban enterprises abroad as well.

Main services we render for foreign and local entrepreneurs are:

• Information about Cuba, regulations regarding foreign investment and the opportunities of investment.

• Organization of seminars, conferences, businessmen meetings, national and international investment events and forums.

• Meetings between foreign entrepreneurs with investment interests and potential Cuban partners, as well as assistance during their stay in the country.

• Promotion abroad of the investments of Cuban enterprises and its competitive advantages.

• Information to local enterprises about the legal framework and investment opportunities in selected countries.

• Consulting services to local entrepreneurs on international data base.

• Training workshops and consultations to local entrepreneurs  on the use of softwares and state of the art technologies  used in promotion work and assessment of investment projects. 

In order to render these services we count on a team of highly qualified specialists who have wide knowledge, abilities and updating on investment promotion  techniques internationally used as well as on pre-feasibility-opportunities  studies. They work together with national organizations and institutions on defining investment strategies and promotional preparation of projects requesting foreign participation.

We use varied promotional supports to perform our activities, among them we have:

• An edition of the guide of foreign investment opportunities, which offers a general picture of the country’s development and of each of the economy branches; and stresses priority projects for foreign investment.

• Participation on investment forums and events.

• Participation in national and international fairs.

• Organization and participation on businessmen meetings, information conferences, and entrepreneurial missions in Cuba and abroad. 

In order to render optimum fulfillment of our work we receive support from Economic and Trade offices and Cuban Diplomatic Representations abroad.

We have signed agreement with prestigious entrepreneurial organizations, investment promotion offices and agencies the world over.

The Investment Promotion Center belongs to the Geneva-based World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), under the auspices of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
